Alloy wheel powder coating in Ipswich – any colour
Powder coating is the toughest finish you can put on an alloy wheel. Instead of wet paint, a dry powder is applied electrostatically and baked in the oven, bonding to the metal in a thick, even shell that shrugs off stone chips, brake dust and winter salt.
It is also how you change the whole look of a car in a week. Gloss black on a white car, bronze on a grey one, satin gunmetal on anything — bring a colour reference or pick from our RAL and OEM range in the workshop.

Powder coating: your questions
Is powder coating better than painting wheels?
Yes for durability. Powder coat is thicker, harder and bonded by heat, so it resists chips and corrosion far better than a sprayed finish. It also cures in hours rather than days.
What colours can you do?
Any RAL colour, most OEM colours and a range of specials — candy, metallic, chrome-effect and textured finishes. Gloss black, satin black, gunmetal, bronze and gold are the most popular.
Can I keep the tyres on?
No — the wheel goes in an oven at around 200°C, so tyres must come off. Removal, refitting and balancing are included in the price.
Will a colour change affect my insurance or lease?
Insurers usually just want to be told. Lease and PCP cars normally need to go back in the original colour, so keep that in mind or refurbish to OEM before return.
